Bunny Banner

It's been one of those days where life gets in the way of your plans.  I had an appointment this morning, and it ended up taking over my whole day in the visit and the response to the visit.

But I did want to share with you my Easter Bunny Banner...or at least some of it.

For the Easter dessert table that I have planned for this weekend, I envision a grand table inspired by the movie HOP.  If you haven't seen it yet, it's the cutest movie about the Easter Bunny's son.

We went to see it as a family while we were in Texas for Spring Break.  I'll be honest, I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did.  But it was cute.

My favorite part was when the Easter bunny takes his son into the candy factory for the first time.  (Are you suprised?)  It's amazing!  The animators did a great job in designing the factory and making it so brilliant.  It's so cool to see the jelly bean waterfall and the chocolate bunny banner.

In honor of the movie, I am trying to recreate this inspiring Easter scene to some small degree.  That starts with the bunny banner.

Since my banner is going to be so big, I cut out 15 "chocolate" bunnies out of brown card stock.  I used the bunny silhouette pattern from The Savvy Mom's Bunny Hop Party.  I re sized it to be about 3 by 5 inches.

I cut 3 yards of ribbon and glued the bunnies on every 7 inches.  Then between the bunnies, I cut some small pennant triangles about 1 1/2 inches by 2 inches out of 4 pieces of my glitter card stock that I talked about here.  I glued 2 of each of the triangles between the bunnies.

I can't show you the final banner yet, because it's REALLY long and not set up yet.  Hopefully, it will all work out and look as fun and amazing as in my head.
