Life has been super crazy the last few weeks. Our town was threatened by the Colorado Wild Fires on several sides and we've been hunkering down waiting to see if we need to evacuate at any moment from any of the 4 local fires. That has kept me very close to home and the kids and not crafting as much as I would like.
But things have calmed down on the fire front and I'm back to showing off my Wizard of Oz party ideas. Today I'm sharing with you two new cupcake topper ideas that I had. (I couldn't decide which I liked better, so I did them both.)
The first design is much like the other princess cupcake toppers we have shared in the past. They are designed to be the upper half of the characters so that the cupcake will be their "dress". I really like this style as it really highlights the cupcake toppers themselves and has the cupcakes as "dressing."
The only problem that I have with this style, is unlike our other cupcake toppers, the Wizard of Oz toppers are pretty complicated to cut out. Dorothy, Glinda, and the Wicked Witch of the West all have complicated cuts and it takes a little while and lots of patience to cut these out.
If you have that time or a cutting machine that will cut these, then they are TOTALLY worth it because they are the cutest Wizard of Oz cupcake topper printables.
If you don't have that type of patience, I have made these cupcake toppers too. They are simple 2 inch circles that can easily be cut out with a circle punch. Each cupcake topper has one of the Wizard of Oz characters on it...Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, Cowardly Lion, Glinda the Good Witch, and the Wicked Witch.
I am offering these cupcake toppers for Free for the next week. After that, they will be put into our online store for purchase. So if you are thinking of having a Wizard of Oz birthday party and need some cupcake toppers, grab them now!
Here are the character pieces...
And here is the printables for the 2 inch circle cupcake toppers.
Have fun with them and if you choose to use them, please come back and show me which one you chose! I can't decide which I like better, can you?
